The mission of the USBA is to originate, develop and nurture a strong and vibrant fellowship of like-minded individuals who appreciate the ever-expanding fabric of domestic and global diversity, enjoy spirited and intellectually challenging discovery, and who harbor no personal or institutional preclusions against international travel.

Like many of the world's greatest institutions, the USBA’s roots extend far beyond familiar shores, to lands walked by humanity's ancestors. It was in one of those humble environs, sometime during the early years of this century, that a small band of visionaries recognized the need, conceived of the mission, and hatched the scheme that, in time, became the USBA.

Through a spirited inclusion process, the USBA has grown steadily, but only slightly, over the years. By design, the organization remains a small and tightly knit fellowship . Selection as a Provisonal or Regular Associate is an honor bestowed only on individuals who aspire to the highest standards of global ambassadorship, as embodied and embraced by our founders.
